Inline Comments

Instructors can add inline comments to submitted assignments. To achieve this, highlight the text that you would like to comment on. A speech bubble icon will appear over the highlighted line. Toggling this button will allow you to leave a comment.

Once this button is pressed, a comment box will appear. Enter the comment you would like the student to view in this text box.

Comments on AI Assistant Prompts

Instructors can access the AI assistant through the button with a star on the side panel. This allows the instructor to see how students used AI for their assignment. Here, instructors can select the Comment button to leave feedback on prompts that the student submitted.

Comments on References

Instructors can access the student's references through the button with a quotation marks on the side panel. Clicking a reference opens a comment box below the selected reference. Here, instructors can type their commentary on the reference and then toggling the Add Comment button to send it to their student.

Accessing Comment Overview

All comments on a particular assignment can be accessed in the panel on the right side. Clicking the speech bubble icon on this side panel will bring up a list of each comment left on the assignment. You can also toggle the drop down list found beside "View". This will allow you to sort comments based on if they were provided directly onto the submission, on the AI prompts, or on the student's references.

Students will receive an email notifying them to comments 2 hours after a comment has been posted. This notification delay means that students can avoid receiving multiple emails when an instructor adds several comments to their submission in a single session.
